Wastewater clarifying basins require routine maintenance to remove the accumulated sediments and/or sludge on the basin bottom. Brown Environmental possesses uniquely equipped tractors outfitted with rotating drum flighted augers employed to dry sludges. Class B biosolid materials are encountered at 10% - 15% solids content and are dried to ~70% solids within three weeks. The tractor can run in up to three feet of sludge thereby significantly reducing material handling costs.
