Brown Environmental emphasizes cost-effective onsite treatment processes utilizing biological, chemical, and physical processes. Our systems are focussed upon the destruction of contaminant mass and/or the reduction of contaminant toxicity thereby reducing stakeholder liability and costs. Brown Environmental possesses a fleet of specialized equipment to complete soil and groundwater remediation including: three injection systems, four extraction systems, an automated SVE/AS trailer, an automated groundwater recovery/treatment/amendment/reinjection trailer, and a pug mill. Furthermore, Brown Environmental possesses two unique soil aerators that effectively disassociate soil aggregates into small particles. The aerators are primarily employed in the bioremediation or chemical oxidation of petroleum hydrocarbons and the stabilization of metals and semi-volatile organics through the mechanical mixture of amendment materials into the soil volume. However, the equipment has also been employed for chlorinated solvent chemical oxidation, metals dilution and sludge drying. These treatment processes may be used singly, or in combination, to solve specific problems.
